Finally, Friday is here.  It has been a long and busy week.  Woohoo! For those of you who like to catch a movie on the weekend, I have another great one for you to check out.  How about Erin Brockovich. This 2,000 drama, directed by Steven Soderburgh, stars Julia Roberts as a down-and- out-of-luck single mother of three children, who stumbled unto a huge industrial poisoning case.  Brockovich discovered that a local utility company was allowing toxic poisons to contaminate the water supply of the surrounding community.  This contamination was linked to many of the extensive health problems that had gripped the local community.  Roberts plays the aggressive, smart-mouth Brockovich, whose dress code and attitude is on the risque side.  Brockovich who is smart and persistent, is able to convince the residents in the community to agree to file a class action suit against the utility company. This movie is inspiring.  Watching Robert’s rousing portrayal of Brockovich as one of the key persons who took on the corporate giant, and never backed down, even when faced with setbacks and adversity, made me believe again in the old adage - fight for what you believe in.
