What’s GossipSecretaries.com?
GossipSecretaries.com is the online community for secretaries around the world. The brainchild of two lifelong friends, GossipSecretaries.com was conceived so secretaries/administrative assistants everywhere could have a fun and engaging outlet to express themselves, exchange ideas, and everything in-between. GossipSecretaries is a virtual office without the boundaries and limitations of the everyday office. Whether you’re happy, excited, thrilled, angry, frustrated or just want to blow off some steam about your day…. GossipSecretaries.com is your place to do just this. Here, secretaries are free to let off some steam about whatever is happening in their day, to post questions in the “Conference Room” and get advice from the “Savvy Intelista, ” and her trusted sidekick “Sassy Fashionista” on how to handle anything from a “delicate” office situation, to what to do if you ever forgot to put lipstick on before you walked out the door. GossipSecretaries strives to entertain, engage and inform this sometimes “overlooked” but dedicated and hardworking group of professionals.

Who are the GossipSecretaries?
Donna and Jenny are the GossipSecretries. Donna and Jenny are long time friends, bound by a similar upbringing, strong sense of friendship and a fun, cynical and clever writing style. Donna and Jenny provide a sense for all things fun, fashionable, and of interest that is a must-know for secretaries around the world. The mission of the GossipSecretaries.com is simple: to keep Secretaries/Administrative Assistant in-the-know. Donna and Jenny are serial gossipmongers.

GossipSecretaries.com? With all the blogging/journal sites out there…why a blogging site for Secretaries?
Why not?? Secretaries are in a class of their own….. they are their “own species”, experiencing unique wonders and challenges everyday that only other secretaries can appreciate. Secretaries are more than just secretaries. Secretaries are professionals, wives, sister, daughters, mothers and grandmothers. Like mothers, secretaries are not only the glue that keeps the home together; they are also the glue that keeps the office together!!

I’ve sent you an email. When will you answer my email?
While we would love to answer your emails right at this very moment, we can’t. However, we do read every email we receive and we will try, as time permits, to answer your emails in the order it was received.

I love GS, how can I keep track of what you guys are up to?
A number of our readers make GossipSecretaries.com their home page - but if you’re not quite that addicted and you don’t want to manually surf by each day you can follow every post of the site via our RSS Feed. You can also subscribe to our monthly newsletter, The Memorandum, in which we summarize the month’s most popular posts, gossip, news, etc. and give a few exclusive tips and basically keep you up to date with our Gossip world.

May I republish posts from GossipSecretaries on my own Blog?
No. You shall not republish full posts from GossipSecretaries without our direct and express permission. Feel free to quote anything from this blog with a link to it as a source, but keep in mind that this is copyrighted material.

Will the GossipSecretaries write a book?
Maybe. We are in talks about writing a book, but we have not found an option that fits our goals. As soon as we materialize the project, our readers will be the first ones to know!

I love your site. Who designed your site? Who created the illustrations?

Forum

What are the forum rules?
To keep this forum clean, usable, and helpful to others, we have put together a set of rules that we ask all forum members to comply with. The following are our basic rules, make sure you visit our Term and Conditions and Submission Policy in detail for additional site rules:

Post in the right forum! You may have your post deleted if you post in the wrong forum!
Use a descriptive topic subject. This will help others find what they want to read. Topics with bad topic subjects may be deleted!
Research your post! Make sure you are not double posting, search the forum first, most questions have been answered dozens of time before.
No trolling. Don’t make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people.
Personal attacks. It is okay to not agree with and to criticize ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.
No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments.
Do not post links to sites with pornographic or objectionable content. Only link to sites that are for family viewing only. Use common sense.
Respect the privacy of others. Do not post another’s phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.
Each forum member may have only one account.
Do not use objectionable language. Ok, you may ask, what the heck is objectionable? Please, do not get technical here. Any language that a reasonable person will find objectionable, is objectionable language. Use common sense.
Do not dig up old threads. If you want to continue an old discussion (older than 1 month), create a new thread and reference the old one in your post.
NO blatant advertising. This forum is not free advertising space.
No religion. This is not a religious site. Please do not post on any issue that may be considered religious.
NO spamming. No commercial posts or flooding the forum with useless content.
Message content. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.
No all caps. Do not post messages with the subject or post in all capital letters, or your message will be deleted. Words in all capitals are not only annoying but are read 50% slower than normal writing. Trust me, Jenny will get really upset.
Use English. This site is primarily an English language site, so please, ONLY post in English. To make sure we keep the integrity of the site, we will delete any post that is not in English.
Signatures. Signatures may contain 1 image (max. 250 x 100pixels). Signatures may contain a link to your personal site or sites that maybe of use to other members, No blatant advertising! Signatures must follow the same guidelines as posts.
If you are found breaking any of the rules you may have your account deleted immediately. There will be no warnings given!

Submissions

I would like to submit an article or tip to your site. How could I do that?
Yes! We love and welcome submissions from our readers. Please select the “submit article/tip” subject in the contact us form.

Will you publish my submission?
We try to approve and publish every submission that we receive. However, while we would love to use everyone’s submission we cannot guarantee to do so. To the best of our abilities, we will review your submissions and we will post them as we see appropriate. Others, however, may never be posted to keep the consistency and quality of the site.

Can I receive compensation for my submission?
Unfortunately, there is no compensation for your submission. This is true even if we decide to post it. However, we will give you full credit for your tip/article unless you specifically ask us not to. If you provide us the right information, we will also give you a byline and include a link back to your blog or website in return for your submission. For additional information, please read our terms and conditions.

Can I submit an article or tip about anything?
We are looking for fresh, funny, and interesting submissions. Submissions need to be original content and you need to be willing to allow us to use them on this site indefinitely. When you submit an article/tip to GossipSecretaries you represent and warrant to GossipSecretaries.com that the text or other materials submitted by you to GossipSecretaries.com does not and will not:

be unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another’s privacy, tortuous, obscene, sexually explicit or graphic, or otherwise in violation of this site’s rules or policies;
victimizes, harasses, degrades, or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability;
stalks another person in anyway;
harm minors in anyway;
infringes any patent, trade mark, service mark, trade secret, copyright, moral right, right of publicity, privacy or other proprietary right of any party;
constitutes unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, junk or bulk e-mail (also known as “spamming”), chain letters, any other form of unauthorized solicitation, or any form of lottery or gambling;
contains software viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or any other computer code, files, or programs that are designed or intended to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment or to damage or obtain unauthorized access to any data or other information of any third party;
intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international laws; or
impersonate any person or entity, including any employee or representative of this site, its licensors or advertisers.

Is there any limit to the size and format of the submission that GossipSecretaries.com will accept?
Yes. Submissions cannot be longer than 500 words. GossipSecretaries.com reserves the right to edit all submissions before posting it. Please ensure that all documents you submit to us are in any of the.doc (Microsoft Word) format. GossipSecretaries will not open any submission that contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or any other similar harmful or deleterious programming routines.

Will you return to me a submission after I’ve send it to you?
No.
