The 16 Non-Negotiable Rules of a true Gossip Secretary

A Gossip Secretary:

  1. Feels free to vent and blow of steam - in a civilized manner.
  2. Doesn’t hold any grudges.
  3. Makes lemonade when life gives her lemons!
  4. Gives 100% in whatever she does.
  5. Is not afraid of change, to the contrary, she embraces it.
  6. Takes time off to do absolutely nothing.  Like Madonna says, always “take a Holiday, take some time to celebrate.”
  7. Reads only good stuff (that’s why a true Gossip Secretary loves this site).
  8. Enjoys laughter—after all, laughter is truly the best medicine.
  9. Does not take credit for her coworkers’ contributions to a project (even though many times it would have been a good idea to do so).
  10. Uses her sick leave time (whether or not she is really sick). 
  11. Does not “spam” her coworkers (this rule excludes that skinny bitch that hates you for no reason; it is okay to send her all kinds of annoying emails).
  12. Doesn’t talk about people behind their backs—Instead, she publishes it here and sends them the link!
  13. Doesn’t let her guard down.
  14. Is not afraid to ask for what she wants, whether it is a raise, a day off or less work, she asks for it!!  (Let us be clear on this one: a true Gossip Secretary asks for what she wants, subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it!).
  15. Avoids office romance - especially if he is married.
  16. Is professional - she never goes to work with her nails chipped.
